Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers’ views on the implementation of action research in schools and its impact on the quality of teaching and learning. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews involving four schoolteachers. Thematic analysis revealed that ongoing training, professional mentoring, and school management support are key dimensions in the successful implementation of action research. Hence, this study recommends that these dimensions be emphasised as guidelines to improve teacher participation in action research.
